Happy 2-Year Clotiversary To Me

It’s been two years since I nearly died in Malaysia. Two years since I couldn’t walk. Two years since I thought I’d never run again. Two years since I didn’t know what was wrong with me, and two years since I wondered if I would see another birthday.

So much can change in two years. I am so happy to be alive, so happy I can run, and so happy I have such wonderful friends and family who have helped me get to where I am today.

Today I celebrate life.

🙂

  1. I hope it never happens again to you or anyone in the world. It is really an insidious disease. I am sure that with the way of life that you chose you will never face it again. Thank you for enlighten everybody that had similar issues, even me. Take care and have courage and strength for the marathon.

  2. You inspire me to run. I have massive DVT in pelvis and both legs since 2013. I took up swimming since then but just started running again. I use to run 10-13.3 k. real struggle for this 69 yr old cancer survivor. But your story touches me.
